Below is the death notice of Adolfo "Ruben" Sanz, Father of Ricardo Sanz ’79 and Robert Sanz ’85, Grandfather of Nicholas Sanz ‘19. Please keep the Sanz family in your prayers.
ADOLFO “RUBEN” SANZ, Age 88. Beloved husband of Swetlana (nee Iwachnik); loving father of Ricardo and Robert (Dorothy, deceased); dear grandfather of Anthony, Elizabeth and Nicolas; great grandfather of Silas and Fin Sanz; brother of Mirtha Angelini. Ruben moved his family from Argentina in 1965 to live the American dream. Ruben loved his sports and horses, but his biggest love was the light blue and white of the Argentina National Soccer Team. He was the longtime owner of Ganim’s Bar in Lakewood and owned Avon Lake Wine Shop. Passed away September 11, 2023. Funeral Mass St. Mel Church 14436 Triskett Rd. Monday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodvale Cemetery. Friends may call at THE McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF LAKEWOOD 14133 DETROIT AVE. SUNDAY 1-4 P.M.
