Below is the death notice of Allan Austin, Class of 1959. Father of Michael, Class of 1987. Brother of Raymond, Class of 1956. Please keep the Austin family in your prayers.

Allan Andrew Austin, 83, of Fort Myers, FL left this Earth peacefully on October 25th, 2024.
Al was born on April 15th, 1941 to Inez and Edgar Austin in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from St. Edward’s High School in 1959, he went on to study at Miami University, OH and then served our Country in United States Naval Reserves.

After serving his country, Al landed his first job at IBM, which kickstarted a 40+ year career, where IBM also became known as “I’ve Been Moved”, as Al and his family moved a lot throughout his career.

Al was a force of nature, determined tell a joke to make you laugh, beat you down the ski slope, stay up longer on a water ski, let you know his political beliefs, what one or all of his three sons were doing with their lives, or simply share a story over a nice cold Miller Lite or glass of wine. He will be remembered for his passion for his Country, his God, his Catholic Faith and for living his life the way he wanted.

Al was predeceased by his mother, Inez, and his father Edgar, He is survived by his brother Raymond and sons Michael and wife Lauren (Horton), Tim and wife Ali (Marcell), and Andrew and wife Jennie (Elliott ) along with his 8 grandchildren Ryan and Matthew (Michael & Lauren), Aidan, Trevor and Anderson (Tim & Ali), and Garrison, Harper and Bennet (Andrew & Jennie)

A celebration of life will be held in Fort Myers, Florida on Tuesday, November 5th from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at the Cross Creek Clubhouse Main Dining Room 13050 Cross Creek Blvd and a funeral mass at St. Ladislas will be held on Friday November 22nd at 10am 2345 Bassett Rd Westlake, Ohio.
