Below is the death notice of Arthur Raby Jr., Class of 1955. Brother of James Raby, Class of 1964. Please keep the Raby family in your prayers.

Arthur Raby of University Heights, Ohio, age 86, passed away on March 29, 2024. Art was the beloved husband of 62 years to Anne M. Raby (nee Macnamara); dearest father of Anne Hunter (Bob), Joe Raby (Sue), Mike Raby (Karla) and Andrew Raby (Deitzah); loving grandfather of Edward and Ellen Hunter, Sierra, Daria, Sean, Colin, Aidan, Autumn, and Connor Raby; dear brother of Jim Raby (Gloria) and the late Marie Kuns (Bill); and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Art was born on June 29, 1937 in Lakewood, Ohio to Dr. Arthur J. Raby, DDS and Margaret E. Raby. After graduating from St. Edward High School, Art attended the University of Dayton where he earned an engineering degree and met the love of his life, Anne.
Art briefly served in the United States Air Force before being designated Standby Reserve in the Air Force's Critical Skills program while working in the private sector. Art worked as an industrial engineer for McDonnell Douglas, the Austin Company, and Swisher Associates along with consulting work.

Art was an active member of Gesu Catholic Parish, particularly in the church's softball league and bridge groups. He was a longtime volunteer with the senior support group Village in the Heights. Art loved his family, card games, helping people, Cleveland sports, Ford Mustangs and naps. He will be remembered as extraordinarily generous to everyone who crossed his path.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Art can be made to the Village in the Heights, 1611 S. Green Rd., Suite 102, South Euclid, OH 44121, or Church of the Gesu, 2470 Miramar Blvd., University Heights, OH 44118.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Marian Chapel of the Church of the Gesu. Interment Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 11:00 A.M., Lakewood Park Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, OH 44116.
