Below is the death notice of C. Peter Barth, Class of 1966. Brother of Lawrence Barth, Class of 1967. Please keep the Barth family in your prayers.
C.Peter Barth, 74, of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 following a long battle with cancer. He was born August 19, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Lawrence and Mary Barbara (nee Hahn) Barth.
Pete grew up in Bay Village, Ohio with his nine younger siblings. He attended Borromeo Seminary in Wickliffe and graduated from St. Edward's High School. Following high school, he joined the US Navy where he proudly served for four years including a tour in Vietnam. He was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees.
Pete began his career in the paint finishing industry at Nordson in Amherst. He later worked for ABB in Detroit and Illinois Tool Works in Toledo. Following his retirement, he returned home to Avon Lake to be near family.
Pete was a dedicated and active member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ where he volunteered his time and talents to the Mission Team, the Good Neighbor Thrift Store Board, IHN and the Men's Ministry. He was a member of the Murray Ridge Housing Board. Pete also enjoyed spending time golfing, fishing and boating; he enjoyed traveling and reading, especially about Civil War history.
Pete is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Lynne Barth (nee Marsh); loving children David Barth (Erin), and Allison Barth; cherished grandfather of Shannon and Cooper; dear siblings Lawrence Barth, Jr. (Sally), Thomas Barth (Patricia), Peggy Mathews (Gus Barboutis), Barbara McGrath, James Barth (Kasey), John Barth (Karen), Mary Morris, Moira Erwine (Dan), and Tracy Barth; and 19 nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Rd, Avon Lake, OH 44012.
