In Memoriam

Below is the death notice of Charles Hannan, Class of 1979. Please keep the Hannan family in your prayers.

Charles Edward Hannan, 61, of Ashtabula, Ohio, formerly of North Royalton, passed away in the presence of his family on August 1, 2022. Charlie was born in Cleveland to Charles Hannan, Sr., and Eileen Hannan (O'Donnell) on January 25, 1961.

Charlie graduated from Cleveland Marshall Law School in 1986, and for most of his legal career worked in civil litigation in the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. He met his future wife, Cheryl, while they were students in law school, and they would later marry in June 2008. From the Bourbon Trail to moss-covered castles in Ireland, Charlie and Cheryl cultivated a life of adventure and faith for one another, all while Charlie's favorite band, the Beatles, played in the background.

Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl (Luoma), and three caring stepchildren, Chris, Robyn, and Lydia (Chris Bunder) Tuttle, as well as his sisters, Ellen (Patrick) Sheeran, and Beth (Hugh) Blocksidge. Charlie was a much-loved Uncle to Daniel, Megan and Amy Sheeran, and to Katie (Sam Gupta), Michael (Minnie) and Kevin Blocksidge, and was a Great-Uncle to Benjamin Gupta. All enjoyed epic Mille Bornes games and squirt gun battles with Uncle Charlie on beach vacations and will miss him greatly.
