In Memoriam

Below is the death notice of Donald Keehan, Father of Douglas Keehan, Class of 1982, Darrin Keehan, Class of 1984 and David Keehan, Class of 1990. Grandfather of Jacob Keehan, Class of 2019 and Luke Keehan, Class of 2022. Please keep the Keehan family in your prayers.

Donald James Keehan, of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away on December 28, 2022.

Don was born on December 17, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York. He protected our country in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served in the Korean war.
Don married the love of his life Arlene on July 11, 1959, in Long Island, New York. Don and Arlene went on to have seven children, Denise, Donald Jr., Daniel, Douglas, Darrin, David, and Toshiro (Joe).
After serving our country, Don began his entrepreneurial journeys by devoting his life to turn his dreams into global success. The most recent being Advanced Polymer Coatings in Avon, Ohio. Throughout these journeys Don cultivated an extended family amongst his employees and a United Nations of close friends across the world.

Don was predeceased by Matt (father), Berniece (mother), Matt Jr. (brother), Robert (brother), Brenda (Sister), and Eric (Grandson). He is survived and missed by his loving wife Arlene (née Higgins) of 63 years and his children, Denise (Richard Vassanelli), Donald Jr. (Joan), Daniel (Jane), Douglas (Lisa), Darrin, David (Jill) and Toshiro (Betsy). Forever cherished and remembered by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his sister. Barbara Evans.

Friends may call Monday, January 16, 2023, from 2-4PM and 5-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd. North Ridgeville. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10AM at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Avon where VFW Post 9871 North Ridgeville will conduct military honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Marine Corp Scholarship Foundation or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, two organizations Don was passionate about.
