Fredric Gauthier Obituary
passed away peacefully Sunday, September 10, 2023. Born in Boston, on February 24, 1937, to Joseph and Mary Gauthier, both of whom predeceased him, Fredric was a beacon of wisdom, guidance, and strength. He was united in love with Justine Wojtkiewicz Gauthier, and the two celebrated their union on July 4th, 1964. Their loving marriage spanned over five decades before Justine preceded him in death. Fredric's early education was distinguished, serving as class president of Bridgton Academy in 1958. He furthered his studies at Alliance College, where he not only excelled academically but also led as the president of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He dedicated 30 years of his life to shaping young minds as an English teacher at Max Hayes in Cleveland. In addition to his academic contributions, Fredric served his community with dedication, holding the position of Ward 3 Fairview Park City Councilman for 13 years. While his professional accolades are many, at the heart of Fredric's legacy is his family. He is survived by his son, Thad Gauthier; daughter-in-law, Michelle; and cherished grandchildren, Kyra and John. In accordance with his wishes, services will be private. Those wishing to honor Fredric's memory may consider making a donation to St. Edward High School Community Meal or Bridgton Academy, North Bridgton, ME. Fredric's commitment to education, service, and family will forever resonate in the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
