James Morrison Obituary
age 82, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, he exited this world on December 14, 2023. Jim was reunited with his bride Janet (nee Grammes) of nearly 50 years.
Jim retired as a Sergeant after a 28-year career with the Cleveland Police Department. He was the son of William and Evelyn (Basch) both deceased. Beloved father to Mike (Pam, deceased), Joe (Lynne), Peg Kubasky (Ed), Kelly, Kate Sabol (Mark) and Beth Cooper. Dearest "Pa" to Lea (Jonathan), Kevin (Jordan), Holly (James), Jason (Colleen), Ashley (Jon), Matt (Katie), Ryan, Stephanie (Michael), Nick (Liz), Rob (Amy), Annamarie, Jessica (Tyler) and 15 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Paul (Carol) and Neal; brother-in-law of Eileen Heidelman (Jim) (both deceased) and Jerry Grammes (Bernie). He was best friends for 66 years with Norm & Janet James and for over 55 years with Rob & Judy Pangrace.
He enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'Em, trips to the casino with family and friends, golfing in South Carolina with his buddies and he was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns. He will be missed and remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all whose lives he touched. As a final gift, he donated his body to science via Case Western Reserve University.
Please join us on Saturday, March 23, 2024, for a Memorial Service at 12:30 followed with a luncheon and Celebration of Life until 3:30 at the West Side Irish American Club 8559 Jennings Rd, Olmsted Township, OH 44138 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Team as their care, comfort, kindness, and compassion not only to Jim, but the entire family will be treasured forever; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of your choice.
