Below is the death notice of Jennifer Opalich Mills, Wife of John Mills, Jr., Class of 1975. Sister-in-law of Gerald Mills, Class of 1976. Please keep the Mills family in your prayers.
JENNIFER OPALICH MILLS passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4th, following a brave and hard-fought battle with cancer. Her 57 years were marked by pure and unconditional generosity—sharing her time, energy, and beautiful spirit with all who had the good fortune to be in her circle.
Her timeless style, radiant optimism, and easy smile made her the ideal confidante and co-conspirator for fun. To know Jenny was to find beauty in life’s daily rituals. Her cooking of generational recipes, patience in teaching and playing pinochle and board games, and her quick wit all made everyone feel comfortable and loved in her presence. We will forever see Jenny where she walked her dog, Lucy, at the Metroparks, hear her in the hoot of an owl, and feel her in the ocean breeze. We'll cheers to you with movie-theatre popcorn and chocolate shakes, holding onto our best stories for the next time we see you.
Jennifer leaves behind her adoring husband, John Mills Jr.; her beloved daughter, Morgan Mills Converse (Edward 'Mac'); her siblings, Stephen Opalich (Michele), Elizabeth Nickel (Chuck), Craig Opalich (Renee), Mitchell Opalich, and Georjanna Opalich (Taylor Potere); and extended family that meant the world to her.
Memorial contributions can be made in Jennifer's honor to the Cleveland Metroparks, 4101 Fulton Parkway, Cleveland, OH 44144, or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110. The Celebration of Life Memorial is private.
