Below is the death notice of John Haney, Father of Owen Haney, Class of 1976 and John Haney Jr. , Class of 1977. Father-in-law of Dave McGuirk, Class of 1970. Grandfather of Owen McGuirk, Class of 1999, John Haney III, Class of 2002, Connor McGuirk, Class of 2003 and Michael Haney, Class of 2010. Great-Grandfather of Connor McGuirk , Class of 2024. Please keep the Haney and McGuirk families in your prayers.
John Haney age 92, beloved husband of the late Evelyn J. (nee Jaynes); loving father of Kathy McGuirk (Dave), Debbie McGoun (Bryan), Owen (Pam) and John (Cindy); fun and loving Grandpa of Mary Grace, Owen, Claire, Conor, Pat, Bryan, Brigid, Danny, Owen (deceased), Katie, Jennifer, John III, Amy, Michael and Meghan and Great-Grandpa of 24 "who look just like him;" dear brother-in-law of Yvette (Owen, deceased); uncle to many nieces and nephews and friend to all ages, especially Therese, Sean and his many friends from the Public House. Our Dad was a good, hard-working man from "The Greatest Generation." His love for family, faith and country was unconditional. We will always remember his kind Irish wit and charm, easy to smile and tell a good joke. We were the lucky ones, Dad. We love you. Godspeed. "Say hi to everyone. Take care of yourselves" John. Proud U.S. Air Force veteran - Korea. Passed away December 9, 2022. All services will be private for the family with burial with honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
