Below is the death notice of Joseph Pinkerton, Class of 1979, Father of Charles Pinkerton, Class of 2020. Please keep the Pinkerton family in your prayers.

Joseph P Pinkerton, age 61, entered into rest Wednesday March 15, 2023 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake. Joe was born in Cleveland and lived most of his days in the Greater Cleveland Area. As a proud graduate of St. Bernadettes Grade School ('75), St. Edward High School ('79) and Bowling Green State University ('83), he achieved academic and athletic excellence. His career in high technology spanned thirty years culminating with his role as the Americas Sales Vice President for MRV Communications until his retirement in 2014. Joe enjoyed many close friends from his youth, his RedTail Golf buddies, and most importantly his family. He was immensely proud of his two OSU Buckeye children, Casey and Charlie for all they have done, and will do. His lifelong love, Julie, was always by his side through many years of marriage. Joe will be remembered by all for being not only the friend and father at your side, but also on your side.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years Julie (nee-Frazier) Pinkerton, children Casey Pinkerton & Charlie Pinkerton, sister Catherine Pinkerton, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Aurelia (nee-Hanwick) Pinkerton. Family will receive friends Sunday March, 19, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, 36363 Detroit Rd., Avon. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday 9:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 33601 Detroit Rd., Avon; interment will be private.
