MARGARET ANN SWEENEY (nee Smith) age 89. Beloved wife of 69 years to John; loving mother of Mary Beth Doyle (Michael), Michael (Jean), Mark (Laura), Karen Sweeney (Tim Kraig), Patrick (Suzanne) and Anne Marie Bryden (Edward); dear grandmother of Craig Doyle, Brendan Doyle (Courtney), Mickey Doyle (Nikki Burt), Maggie Sweeney (fiance, Chris Avery), Sean Sweeney (Lisa), Kate Sweeney (Tina Sweeney), Tim Sweeney, Kevin Wojciechowski (Taylor), Joey Wojciechowski (Karley), Siobhan Sweeney (Russell Milsaps), Moira Cole (Adam), Bridgid Sweeney, Fiona Sweeney (Zack), Molly Bryden (Joe Lanzilotti), Max Bryden and Teddy Bryden; great-grandmother of Arthur, Beatrix, Gus, J.J., Jackson, Liam, Duncan and Peyton; daughter of the late Katherine and John Smith; sister of the late Jackie Smith, Tom Smith and Jerome Smith; aunt of Stacey Smith and friend of many.
Mom lost both of her parents when she was a teenager. It was just her and her little brother Tommy. She always told the six of us that she prayed to God to let her live long enough to raise her kids! We would joke that she must still be raising us! You were a wonderful mom.
Passed away June 12, 2024. Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 19, St. Patrick Church (West Park) at 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS TUESDAY 4-7 PM.
