In Memoriam
Below is the death notice of Mary Livingston, Mother of the late James Livingston Jr., Class of 1972, Michael Livingston, Class of 1977 and Christopher Livingston, Class of 1980. Please keep the Livingston family in your prayers.
MARY JOAN LIVINGSTON (nee Sullivan) age 90, of Avon, Oh, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 10, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James, and her eldest son, James III (Vicki). She leaves to mourn: her daughters Margaret Sullivan (Kevin), Mary Katherine Bresnahan (Kevin), and sons Michael (Sandy) and Christopher (Evan).
She was the cherished grandmother to Ryan (Jill), Eric (Kathryn), Frank, Dan, Kara (Marko), Emma, Claire, Jack, Elizabeth and Eva. Precious great grandmother to Luca, Leo, Liam and Jax. Beloved daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Sullivan. Loving sister of the late Patricia Schreiner (Jack), Fr. Sean TOR, Kaki O’Neill (David), Tom (Sandy) and her surviving sister Sue Jacobus (Jack).
Joan and Jim were longtime members of St. Christopher Church. They served on the Advisory Board at West Side Catholic Center and they established the Livingston Family Scholarship Fund at St. Ignatius High School. Joan will always be remembered as a gentle and dignified lady. Whenever she was asked “how are you doing?” her answer was always the same, “I’m wonderful”. That was how she chose to look at life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 16th at St. Raphael Church, 525 Dover Center Rd., Bay Village at 11:00 AM. Private interment. Friends may gather at the Church from 10:00 AM until time of Mass.
