Below is the death notice of Noreen Sulzer, Mother of Richard Sulzer, Class of 1975 and Keith Sulzer, Class of 1979 and Grandmother of James Boone, Class of 2003, Alexander Boone, Class of 2005, Keith Sulzer, Class of 2006 and Nicholas Sulzer, Class of 2010. Noreen Ann Sulzer (nee Sullivan), 87 of Cleveland passed away peacefully at home, Sunday, September 15th 2024, surrounded by her family.
Born the 13th child of Marie and Arthur Sullivan, her sister Jeanne was her Godmother. She watched her brothers all go to the military. Noreen’s father died when she was 14. She traveled all over to visit her family with her mother. She was preceded in death by all her siblings. Noreen went to St. Rose’s Catholic grade school and St. Augustine Academy where she met lifelong friends and even a sister-in law. She was an aunt to approximately 80. Cousin and friend to many.

At 19 Noreen met and married the “love of her life” Richard B. Sulzer, who passed away on their 44th anniversary. They lived the ultimate Catholic life taking into their home people in need and foreign exchange students. Lay directors of T.E.C. (Teens Encounter Christ) and they gave Marriage talks to Catholic high schools for Cleveland Catholic diocese.

Noreen was the devoted mother of Richard B Sulzer Jr. (Bette), Brian Jude (deceased), Barrie Stanton (Geoff), Keith Sulzer (Susan), Amy Boone Miskinis (Don), Paula (deceased). Cherished Grandmother of 14. Stephanie Sulzer, Samantha Wood (Chris), Jamie Stanton, Jack Stanton, Patrick Stanton (Julie), Michael Stanton (Kelly), Owen Stanton, Eva Stanton, Keith Sulzer, Aaron Sulzer(Bridgette), Nick Sulzer (Maddie), James R. Boone (Liz), Alex Boone (Dana), Julianna Sulzer.

Loving Great-grandmother to 12, Daniel Sulzer, Charlotte and Beau Stanton, Sloane and Scotland Sulzer, Madison, Brooklyn, Jaxson, Jonathan, Karmyn, Kailani and Justus Boone.

Noreen worked at Kaiser Permanente for over 20 years where she was the Physicians Scheduling Secretary and Secretary to the Medical Director. She met many good friends there but especially her best friend Linda Hayes, who was there to the end.

Family will receive friends Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:00 am in the vestibule of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church 4423 Pearl Rd. Cleveland, Ohio 44109. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 noon. All are invited to a reception immediately following downstairs in the Marian Lounge at Mary Queen of Peace.
