Below is the death notice of Peter Beargie, Class of 1979. Please keep the Beargie family in your prayers.

Peter was born the son of William and Mary Ann (Estabrook) Beargie on July 18, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated class of 1979 from St. Edward Catholic High School in Lakewood, Ohio. Peter earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and Master of Science in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He married Sally Beargie on September 9, 1989, at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Rocky River, Ohio. Peter and Sally raised their family in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Peter had a career as an engineer with both General Motors and Delphi before retiring in 2008. He was a member of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church.

Above all else, Peter loved his family. He also enjoyed classic cars, especially his 1968 Volvo P1800. Peter’s love for sports included watching the Detroit Lions and Tigers.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sally Beargie; children Sarah and Emily Beargie; siblings William (Mary) Beargie, Paul (Susan) Beargie, Elizabeth (James) Rosplock, and Brian (Elizabeth) Beargie; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents William and Mary Ann Beargie.

The Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 11th from 1:00-4:00pm with a Memorial Service immediately following at 4:00pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in Rochester, Michigan.
