Below is the death notice of Robert Hrovat, father of Andrew Hrovat, Class of 1998 and Bradley Hrovat, Class of 2001. Please keep the Hrovat family in your prayers.
Robert "Bob" Hrovat 68, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2022 surrounded by his children. He was born May 4, 1954 in Cleveland. Bob graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1972 and worked at Pepsi Co. for 30 years. He enjoyed attending sporting events and was often found on the side of a wrestling mat yelling "move your feet" or a baseball field heckling the umpire. Survivors include his children, Natalie (Tim) Stuber, Andy Hrovat, Liz (Brian) Perk and Brad (Bethany) Hrovat; grandchildren Cole, Kenley, Hadley, Kellen, Finley and Adalynn; former wife, Ardith Hrovat; brother Raymond (Carmen) Hrovat; and his sisters, Marilyn (Tom) Kirk, Jeanne (Mark) Schmotzer, Janet (John) Beccia and Karen (Dennis) Lynch. He was an uncle and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Geraldine Hrovat; and his niece, Alison Holmgren. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. A funeral service to conclude the gathering will begin at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the St. Edward High School Wrestling Program, 13500 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, Ohio 44107. Please offer condolences at www.brunners.com.
