Below is the death notice of Sandra Davis, Wife of the late Charles Davis, Class of 1957. Please keep the Davis family in your prayers.
Sandra Davis, born Sandra Lee Neiger on October 16th of 1940 was married to the love of her life, the late Charles (Chuck) Davis for 58 years; loving mother of Charles, Christopher (Beth), Michael, Brian (Ginger), John (Cindi), David (Stephanie), Barbara Miller (Dan); as well as 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; daughter of the late Bill and Julia Neiger; sister of Carol Thomas (Mike, deceased) and the late Bill (Sherry). Sandy peacefully departed this earthly life surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the age of 82. She graduated from John Marshall High School ('59) and then went on to work at the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. After marrying Charles, raising their children as well as fostering children in their home, Sandy earned a degree in nursing. Her compassion to help others led her to work at Metro's NICU and volunteer as an in-home hospice nurse. She later retired from Ford Motor Company as an employee health care nurse. Sandy loved to try new recipes and host friends for cards, games, book club or just a quick hello. Family and friends could drop by anytime to receive her patience, kindness or a comforting word. She always had plenty of food to share and welcomed everyone into her home. As a woman of faith, Sandra found peace in her daily prayers, journals of gratitude, and eagerness to help others in need through her generous donations to various charities. Funeral Mass 11 A.M. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at St. Clarence Church, 30106 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, OH. Luncheon to follow at the church. Interment at a later date: Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Smile.
