Below is the death notice of Thomas L. Boyer, Grandfather of Thomas J. Boyer, Class of 2007, Mark Boyer, Class of 2009, and the late Kevin Boyer, Class of 2012. Please keep the Boyer family in your prayers.
Thomas Leslie (Tom) Boyer, met his wife, Dee, in eternity, on April 21, 2023. He is survived by his children John J. Boyer, Thomas P. Boyer (MaryAnn) and Lesley Ann Storme (Ken); grandchildren Kelly Ann (Michael), Michelle Marie, Tricia (Josh), Thomas, Mark (Liz), Maggie (Sean), and Katie Rae and his favorite little fish Grace, Nathan, Max, Emma, Leo and Connor. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dee and grandson, Kevin. While we all know this is hardly news, as Tom has been praying to the Lord above to take him for the past year and half as he slowly succumbed to pure old age. He was the patriarch of a loud, gesticulate and Italian family, but one that he was ever so proud of. Tom was born and raised in Garfield Heights, Ohio, where he raised his family and buried the dreams of a Guardian’s (nee Indians) World Series win in 2016. Tom served in the Korean War and coached boys CYO basketball for Saint Therese for over 15 years. Tom worked as a drywall finisher and retired from the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades #505. Upon retirement, Tom was known for driving to Florida to manifest a winning team for Cleveland during Spring Training, and fishing off his boat in Marblehead where he taught three generations to fish.
