William C. Pampush

Class of 1957

In Memoriam

Below is the death notice of William Pampush, Class of 1957. Please keep the Pampush family in your prayers.

William C. Pampush, Class of 1957, passed away on April 27, 20204. Bill was the twin brother of Robert C. Pampush, who was also from the class of 1957.

Bill passed a couple of weeks short of his 85th birthday. He fought a long and challenging battle with cancer for 17 years. Based on the many years that Bill lived, it is evident that cancer lost and Bill won.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanne (O'Mahony); son Jason of Brighton, Michigan; daughter Melinda Linman (Brad); grandson Samuel Linman and granddaughter Eve Linman, all of Anoka, Minnesota; brother Bob (Barbara), and sister Carol O'Connor (Terry, deceased). Bill's siblings and their spouses, who have passed, are James (Lillian), Ruth, and Thomas (Theresa). Bill is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from John Carroll University and Michigan State University. After graduation, he joined the Navy, where he cruised the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas during his tour of duty. After his Navy tour was over, he went to work for Diebold, selling ATM machines to banks. After leaving Diebold, Bill became the Sales Manager for Timeplex and then General Data Comm.

Bill enjoyed fishing and boating. He had his boat and cabin in Michigan. He also had a pilot's license and would rent airplanes to fly around northern Ohio for enjoyment. He was always careful to land only at strips that did not charge landing fees. Bill also enjoyed golf but wisely kept his clubs in his basement.

Bill's interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio, on June 10 at 10:15 AM.
