In Memoriam
Below is the death notice of First and Last Name, Class of 1953. Brother of the late Robert Jolly, Class of 1957 Please keep the Jolly family in your prayers.
William Francis Jolly, 87, of South Pasadena, FL., and formerly from Colchester, CT., was welcomed home into the loving arms of His Savior on August 15, 2023. He passed peacefully in his sleep.
Born September 7, 1935 in Youngstown, OH., he was the eldest of 3 children born to Marion Lucille and Harold William Jolly. Robert Jolly of Texas predeceased him, and Margaret Walcher of North Olmsted, OH., survives him.
He was a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, having been a member of the marching band. He was a loyal Notre Dame Fighting Irish football fan.
In May of 1957, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Joanne, who has been awaiting his arrival since October 2018. We're so happy they are finally reunited.
From April 1958-June 1963, he was a Corporal in the Army National Guard, Co. A 112TH Engineering Battalion. He was a Medical Corpsman as well as an MP.
He was a dedicated employee of the Heublein Corp., having been a Manager of Internal Auditing.
He served the Lord well throughout his life as a CCD teacher, Cursillo sponsor, parish counsel member, Lecture and RCIA instructor. He valued the fellowship of the men's prayer groups of which he participated.
Dad's true calling was to his family, being a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather; generous, protective and sacrificial. He was a true Super Hero, our Captain America
He is survived by many, namely his children:
Edward Jolly of South Pasadena and his wife Vicki Torres of Columbia
Terri And Paul Miffitt of Clearwater FL.
Lynne and John Pinto of Colchester, CT.
Grandchildren:
Jordan(Amber) Jolly of Lynchburg, VA.
Ashley(Matt) Aguilar of Huntington Beach, CA.
Alicia(Anthony) Cerrato of Zelionople, PA.
Amanda(Simo) Kraguljac of Cheshire, CT.
Amy(Mark) Raleigh of Marlborough, CT.
Danny(Catherine) Pinto of Colchester, CT.
David Pinto of Colchester, CT.
His sister, Margaret Walcher (Aunt Marge) of North Olmstead, OH.
And many neices, nephews, and great grandchildren. We miss you, Ga, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Calling hour will be November 4, 2023 at 10AM, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Colchester, CT. followed by Memorial Mass at 11AM.
